About

NYCE BULLDOG'S goal is to produce bulldogs that are well-socialized, even-tempered, thick boned, clean breathing, chesty, athletic bulldogs which are free of health issues. Since we began in 2009, we have chosen and continue to choose the most desirable characteristics of both American and Olde English bulldogs to reestablish the traditional working Old English bulldog lineage.

All of our dams and sires are IOEBA (International Olde English Bulldog Association), NKC (National Kennel Club) and/OR ABKC (American Bully Kennel Club) registered.

We got our first Bulldog which was an American in 1999. His name was Tonka and he was a big part of our family. Tonka loved kids and was a natural protector of them-not just our kids, but all kids. He was loyal and as gentle as could be, with the courage of a lion. He was very intelligent with a great temperament and even humorous at times. I remember teaching him commands when he was about four months old.  I told Tonka to sit and stay and walked around the house.  When I came back, I praised him for sitting and staying.  Then as I sat on the steps next to him, he took off, ran around the house, and began to jump on me excitedly when he returned. It was as though he was now praising me for sitting and staying.

We hadn't considered breeding until Tonka was no longer with us and we realized our love for Tonka, was also a love of the breed. In 2009 after researching breeders around the world, we decided to become American Bulldog breeders ourselves. It was at this time we discovered the Old English Bulldog, who we loved just as much, if not more.

As breeders of American and Olde English bulldogs, our dogs come with some of the best pedigrees and are also some of the finest physical specimens you'll find at a reasonable price.
